Fellow Lumberjack, Over the past few years I have had the honor of guiding Breahna Barton through our High School’s journalism program as a yearbook student. Throughout that time I have seen a student flourish as a photographer and designer. In fact, Ms. Barton has proven herself so competent and capable in this program, she has earned a leadership position for the 2019-20 school year. Ms. Barton is not only involved with my program, she is also an active member of Student Council and DECA, the Distributive Education Clubs of America. She is also one of the founding members of Quill & Scroll, the journalism honor society. As an alumni of Stephen F. Austin, I feel as though I have a particularly poignant perspective on her as an applicant.
