The Klein ISD police department is getting a chance to be even more involved with the community with a “KISD Family Fun Night”. This event will be filled with various activities that are family friendly. Kids will get a chance to take part in a fingerprinting booth were they can make finger art for their parents. There will also be first response vehicles like fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, rescue trucks, and Camaros. Here people can get  an inside look of what it’s like to be inside a rescue vehicle. Klein ISD police department Chief David Kimberly spoke on what the importance of this event is to the department and the community.

“This is a great opportunity for officers to interact with the community,” Kimberly said.

Family fun night will happen on Oct 25 at 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Raising Cane’s on Kuykendahl and FM 2920. Family fun night welcomes anyone and everyone to come and be apart of the community. Everyone is encouraged to come with family, and friends to eat food, enjoy activities, and have a great time. Klein ISD family fun night is being held to help raise funds for the Klein ISD Police Holiday Heroes event. This events’ purpose is to take kids out to dinner and go Christmas shopping with the proceeds from Family Fun Night. This community event uses 15% of all proceeds to go to the Klein ISD Police Holiday Heroes event. This event is a way that the community and the department can be involved and impactful with the lives around them.

For this event, everybody justs needs money if you plan to eat Raising Cane’s. The Klein ISD police department is excited about this event and they’re looking forward to seeing everyone there.

“We look forward to community events…and any time we can spend with our community in a positive way,” Kimberly said.
