This past Friday Klein Cain held its first pep rally of the 2018-2019 school year. As the football team ran through a banner into a gym they were lead by Jacob Munoz who beat his second battle with cancer. Soon after, Munoz was awarded the Unsung Hero Award and a $500 scholarship to the university he chooses.

“Congratulations to Jacob Munoz from Klein Cain High School for being recognized with the Unsung Hero Award Presented by Texas Farm Bureau! Jacob received a commemorative award and $500 scholarship to the university of his choice,” the Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Twitter Page said.

The gym was filled to the brim with people decked out in purple, white, and silver. Cheer and dance teams gave performances as well as the Klein Cain band and Caniacs. Numerous people were wearing their Team Jacob t-shirts in support of Jacob Munoz who has returned to school this year.

“All Hurricanes were #JacobStrong today at Klein Cain Pep Rally,” the Klein Cain Athletics Twitter said.
