The first football Varsity game in the school’s history took place Saturday, Sept. 1st at the Klein Memorial Stadium. The football team played against Cypress Park HS and ended with a score of 29-7 making it the football team’s first win at a Varsity game. Different organizations such as the Band, Legacies, and Cheer got together and performed in front of the crowd.

”They won the game 29-7. The game went great, I liked it,” Kayleigh Harper said.

People were excited to attend the game and show their school spirit as they rooted for their team. Teachers, students, and staff were all welcomed to attend and enjoy the show as the opposing teams went against each other head-on. The football players have been putting in work to master their skills and beat their opponents as well as just have fun on the field.

“My brother practices every day after school,”  Sarah Guerrero said.

The season seems to them like a pretty promising one which will also have more victories in the future. The athletes have placed hours of practice for their future games and competitions.

“I think they’re going to keep it up,” Guerrero said. “They started off good.”
