Thanksgiving break is just around the corner! Students and teachers alike are counting the seconds and hours until the week-long break. With this lengthy holiday break, and travel bans being lifted, many Hurricanes here at Klein Cain, are traveling to make the most of the Thanksgiving break.
Many are traveling to see family and friends this holiday season and spend this break having quality time with the people they love.
“I am going to Dallas for thanksgiving because my older brother is down there and so is my other grandma,” says Kate Dyer.
For some, however, friends are traveling to them, for events like holiday parties or get-togethers.
“Unfortunately, we will not be traveling for Thanksgiving break, but we will host a party for all of our family and friends to reunite under our household!” says Leslie Gonzalez.
Thanksgiving isn’t the only reason for travel next week. Some Hurricanes are going to events for extracurricular activities.
“I am traveling to Orlando Florida for an International pageant! I have been preparing for NAM since last December and cannot wait to represent Houston,” says Ashtin Grice.
This break from school doesn’t mean a break from thinking about academics, touring colleges, and working on school work is on the schedules for some students.
“I am attending a college showcase with my club soccer team, and post-requisite I am touring colleges which I plan on attending,” says Savannah Shannon.
The phrase “no place like home” rings true for others, opting to stay at home and enjoy the environment of their own home.
“We are most likely going to be staying home, but we might go camping because the weather is so nice. If we didn’t go it would be because of my sister’s job, or just because we can still have fun at home,” says Lindsay Humpherys.
Whether or not you are traveling this holiday season, we here at Cain Live wish you an enjoyable Thanksgiving Break!
