With Cain cruising through year three, the softball and baseball team is ready to see what their third season has to bring them. The athletes have been practicing since the start of the second semester.
”Getting back into the groove with everyone and creating that connection between each other,” baseball player Josh Samaniego said. “Training yourself to get to know each person on your team and learn their strengths as weaknesses are the most important training in my opinion.”
The First game for baseball was Feb. 24, 2020, against Cypress Creek but had their first scrimmage on Feb. 10 against Katy Paetow.
“Competing and playing great games against other schools and putting in the work and effort that it takes to make me an even better player is what I’m most excited about this year’s season,” Logan Steinecke said.

On February 17, the Junior Varsity and Varsity team played their first game against Brenham High School. With Junior Varsity winning 12-1 and Varisty winning 11-10
“We were ecstatic! It was a tough game going back and forth with Brenham. In the last inning I was pumped as we were winning and just had to get the last three outs,” Morgan Atkiness excitedly said. “I think the last out was the most exciting because the whole team worked so hard for the win!”
